While revenge is certainly on everyone's mind it would hardly bring anyone back. This young man is clearly suffering some form of mental issue
The best thing that we can do is not to devise his punishment but rather prey for the wounded, killed, and their families.
Might see some red reps for this one.
Another way of looking at it...........
Introduce him to God, in person, and let God do as he does.....
BTW: No one would use red reps..... You expressed your opinion in a civilized manner. Some people agree, agree to some degree, don't agree. All reasonable opinions are Good!! Take care TomB.......
I understand that perhaps this person is sick. I also understand that the family has been shadowed in their sons aftermath and that they too are suffering. I understand that the general public wants justice done and swiftly. I understand that the ken folks of the departed and injured are in great pain and sorrow. I understand that those that survive may live in a handicaped incapacitated state and be a burden on their own family and they will also be remorseful of that.
But most of all---
I understand that you can not have a good garden if you dont pull the weeds.

Revenge: Agree.....Not the way to behave.
Mental issue: Of course!
Allow the man to be released: Of Course Not!
Treat him in a Mental ward of a jail: Maybe that is a good response??
Trial, if found guilty: Public hanging the following week: Maybe that is a good response??
Pray: Always a good response! Even pray for the "sob"!
I edited my first response to address your concern of neg. Reps. ---
Enjoy a Great Navy Day!! Or a Army day if you wish......
