I'm happy with the synthetic blend Mystic I'm running. It's $11 a gallon at my local farm/ranch store, meets the specs and the truck runs fine with it. Some guys will say Valvoine Synthetic Blue is better, other will say nothing is better than Rotella. Basically, like the style socks & underwear you wear...it's a matter of opinion. As long as the oil meets the required specs and doesn't cause damage (like Delco, don't think it's recommended)...the brand oil you run is up to you. The only thing that can't be stressed enough is OEM spec fluids & filters (Ford/Motorcraft, Racor, International/Navistar) is the only thing you should run in these trucks...PERIOD. And change 'em ontime; the 6.0L will bite you if you forget.

Oil gets discussed super frequently. If you have time do a quick search and you can read through dozens of threads about it. It will amaze you.
I run Rotella T6 5W-40 by the way. So far I am not impressed but it may be the fact that the fuel is changing to winter fuel simultaneously with the oil change....time will tell.
