I purchased a chrome dash bezel and speedometer form a 69 F-800 because I want to add a tach and vacuum gauge.
The speedometer is the round type but has Alt and oil pressure gauges like a early Bronco.
All the wiring seems strait forward except the alt gauge.
It has a loop on the back no terminals.
My truck has the sweep speedometer with ammeter.
Does anyone know how I can hook the Bronco type gauge up in my truck?
Thank You!
My truck is a 66 F-250 Camper Special
The 1966/77 Bronco oil pressure gauge has a different part number (C6TZ-9373-A) than the like gauge these trucks used (C1TF-9273-C), but...as I recall, the only thing different is the Bronco's dial face.
These gauges were an option, so not all trucks had them. Both were used with the sweep speedo (F100/250) and steel clusters (painted and chrome).
There is a separate guage feed harness used with these (and the fuel/temp) gauges, plugs into the dash loom.
The 'plastic' FoMoCo service part sweep cluster/repro sweep cluster (C5TZ-10838-A): A hole saw is necessary to install these gauges.
Ive got that same cluster in my truck. I pulled the ammeter to use a volt meter on mine but im not trying to keep mine original. If your ammeter doesnt work Ive still got 2 but i dont know if they work because i never used them.
