Kill switch
Has anyone out there installed any type of kill switch mechanism?
Down here in Southeast,LA we have a big problem with F-250's mysteriously dissapearing. I've heard of a local diesel mechanic near me that installs some sort of interupter to keep an honest man honest. The switch being some form of an upfitter, blinker, etc. Never did get a price from him tho...
I had one installed on my old '78 F250 years back when i lived in a somewhat rough part of town. Of course that was a simple harness compaired to todays feat.

I had a diesel turbo lifesaver installed on my 05 6.0l. It works great but I don't know if it would be available for the new truck, sorry. The lifesaver acts as a engine timer so the turbo cools down after a hard tow or run. It shuts off the motor after 5 to 15 minutes I think. But there is a switch included that I have that is hidden from view and when you throw the toggle it kills the motor. I hit the switch by accident one day and totally forgot that I had it, and caused me some grey hairs, until I remembered and flipped it back on. Senior moment!
