Finally finished up the install of a new 4-link. Took a lot longer than I figured but I had some good help and finished in about 3 weeks of evenings and weekends. OK, so I'm not that fast. I'm also old and retired
Nice work! Don't be concerned about how long it took. I don't think Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa over one weekend.
I'm curious to know if it's custom. And if not, who were your parts sources for the brackets, link rods, and heims? I've been toying with the idea of a triangulated 4-link (Two longitudinal arms and two diagonals like GM A-bodies).
More questions! What is the coil-overs spring rate(s) and how did you determine what they needed to be?
Lastly, I've seen 'em where the links are mounted slightly outboard of he frame with a panhard rod. Any particular reasons for your set-up? I mean, I can see it's nice and compact and all. Was that the principle factor?
It's a Fat Man product, pretty straight forward set up. It designed to go inboard or outboard, just personal preference. The QA1's are adjustable as are the mounts. I just got it finished so it hasn't been dialed in yet.
