oil cooler insight needed
I would like to know what is inside of a clogged oil cooler when you take it off? Is it that the coolant has turned to Goo or something hard like concrete? It surely can't just be dirt could it? Does it build up in all the fins evenly or is it like start in the bottom and slowly fill up to the top ? My personal belief is that the coolant gets so hot in the egr cooler that it turns the coolant to Goo and then the Goo gets stuck in the oil cooler and if you do a egr delete and new oil cooler you will not have a clogged oil cooler ever again... but I could be wrong. Does anyone have other thoughts on what the REAL reason is for clogged oil cooler??
