I'm debating the engine route on my truck, as I'm sure the last 5 topics I've posted have mentioned, lol.
I've tried to nail down power and torque from some upgrades on the Y-block,but I haven't been able to find any real numbers to work off of.
My 272 runs well though I need to replace the main rear seal now do to that accident a few months back. I'm trying to find out what kind of power and more importantly torque the 272 can make with a few upgrades. I'm mainly just thinking intake and exhaust, anything that requires removing the engine will require me to have to build a different one as I need to keep something in there.
So, does anyone have an ideas of what the 272 can do with a few mods?
Go to the Y block engine section of this site. or Y-BlocksForever Forum
Google Y block Ford engines or any variation of the terms.
It is an expensive engine to mod to make power.
