no tach movement,new camshaft pos. sensor installed
my excursion would not start,had no codes. installed new cps and started right up yesterday,today would not star on first try notice no tach movement.tried second time and started after along crank,no tach movement at idle or stop but moves when driven.Any ideas on whats going on here. Thanks in advance,hope someone can help

It sounds like the tach is out of alignment. That can be fixed by resetting the cluster. The starting problem could be a High Pressure Oil problem or it could be a FICM problem.
As far as codes, what are you using to try to read them? Some code scanners won't read codes from a Powerstroke.
To reset the cluster, hold the trip meter reset button down and turn the key on. The cluster will enter it's test mode. Press the trip meter button until the gauges sweep. That should realign them.
