Oil change

My last two oil changes I have gone from Motorcraft to Rotelle Triple T 15W-40. With winter around the corner I'll be doing my next change (next weekend) and was wondering if I should change to a different grade? Right now at WalMart I can only find 15W-40, I going to look at AutoZone/Advance Auto/NAPA for other grades of oil. What is everyones best oil for winter time driving, from last year I'll probably see around 20's as lows at times since I'm in NC, and you can never know what it's going to be until the weather changes.

If its starting now fine without problems im sure you will be fine...Wouldn't hurt to do synthetic.

You can do 10W40 also

My local Wal-Mart sells the Rotella T6. It's 5W-40 synth and runs about $21 a gallon.

10w-XX or 5w-XX will be better for cold starts.

You should have no issue starting at 20*f AT ALL with 5w-XX oil.

If you do, common issues are stiction(build up on the oil side of the injector) and a poor operating FICM.

REV-X is a highly used oil cleaner for sticion.

There are many FICM repair shops, FICM Repair.com - Your Source for FICM Repair is highly recommended.

Same here except O'Rileys figures three gallons should be enough for anybody. That's all they have on the shelf whenever I'm in there.

I look to probably go to 10w-xx maybe worse 5w-xx once I find cheapest price from the stores before I get working.
