Wheel oxidization?

Wheel oxidization?
I have a set of turbine style wheels on my '79, and the two in the front are a different color then those in the rear (reddish tint opposed to cast color). I assume its from the brake dust (disks in the front), and oxidization over the years. I just recently got a bead blasting cabinet with a bunch of media. Could I unmount the tires and put the wheels in the blaster and remove the outer layers of oxidization?
