Clutch Pack Replacement

I was wondering if anyone could give me a sense of what it may cost (parts and labor) to replace the clutch pack in a '08 F250 6.4L. I called the dealership and they couldn't give me any estimate.

I am also wondering how hard it is to change the clutch pack in the 2008 F250. I am fairly mechanical so if it isnt terribly difficult I may do it myself to save some $$.

Please let me know

Thanks
Brian

You'd have to reset gear backlash. I have done it before and it isn't a very easy job. I had to use a 5' solid bar to get the spiders back in with the new clutches. Then wax pen the gear teeth, rotate, adjust, repeat.

If it were mine i would get a tru trac. I don't see the point in replacing the factory LS thats burnt out at 82k with the same thing.
