Well I figured id give my old beater a thread. I did a little digging (I looked at the sticker in the door jam) and found out it was made at the Canada plant in January of 81. It is a 1981 ford F-250 custom 4x4. It was the base model 250 the only extra option was the 4 wheel drive. This model year was the year ford used a Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 rear. It has a 300 cubic inch I6 motor that is in need of an over haul. It doesn't look like much but it has a lot of sentimental value to me because my dad has had it since i was born.
She looks to be a little rough around the edges, but that just makes her unique. Great looking truck!
If the info sticker on the driver's side door sill of the cab is still original, post up the info from it, and somebody here can decode it for you and tell you all kinds of cool stuff about your truck.
I noticed today while working on the wheel cylinder that the rear axle has what looks to be a lift on it, Maybe a 2 or 3 but then i looked at the front and it didn't look to have it but i could've just missed it. Was this a factory option in 81?

What you're probably looking at is the factory block that came on the 4x4's.
