Yes you can. an excursion is an f250 frame with a soft rated spring (like a lowering spring)

I do remember it was a greyish-blue excursion with 37'' Kumho's. Anyhow I'm kinda leaning
toward the Procomp 6'' kit with the fox reservoir shocks. The tech at 4wheelparts
told me that the procomp 6'' kit actually nets 5'' after the install
im running 37" with about 5" no rubbing no problems

My excursion frame wasn't close to the same frame as my F350, but the suspension was exactly the same

The frame is different in the rear. The F250 frame goes straight out the back but the X frame turns down in the back. Same springs for 99-04.

yip...the excursion frame rails are straight from the front shackle to the rear spring hanger, where the F350 wasnt....it dipped down in the middle under the cab.

I tried to find some pics in my build thread, but i didnt see any....but my F350 was a regular cab...maybe the super and crew cabs are different

Excursions dont have these curves

see the curved section by the gas tank.....excursion frames are straight from the front axle to the rear spring hanger

Agreed, you can't beat BDS's ride quality, or warranty. IMO

2000 Ford Excursion 4x4
Priority Preferance & Goals

1. I want to run 37's with the minimal amount of lift.

2. If I go with a 4'' I want to run 35's on 18'' wheels.

3. If I go with a 6'' I want to run 37's on 18'' wheels.
I have a ProComp 4" lift and 35" tires on 20" rims. No trimming necessary.

First post here!!! Nice forum and very informative.

I'm contemplating on having my x2k xlt 4x4 lifted as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but when you lift a vehicle, won't the center of gravity go up as well? Will having a wider tire, stance offset the change of center of gravity? I'm worried about roll-overs when sudden turn situation arises.

frame change

dose anyone know if they changed the frame of the excursion or its suspension mounting points when they changed the fronts to coil overs in 2005?
I have a 2001 leaf system and found a 8" adjustable coil over lift off a decomisioned 2005 excursion diesel that did not pass the import inspection into Canada, that i want to install into the 2001 v10 4x4.
I don't want to be lured in by price only to pay double to modify everything else!
