Can u hear the fuel pump run when u turn the key on? my 88 did the same thing. Checked for spark and had no spark. Replaced the ignition module still wouldn't start. Went to pull a part picked up a like new coil and the relays gthat mount on the side of the air box. Got home changed the relays and its been runnin ever since.

If u can't hear the fuel pump id say prob relays. There are two relays on is for fuel pump and the other is ignition. When mine went bad I had no fuel pump and no spark

No...Should be a seperate box BEHIND the airbox......Has a ford logo on it..

As for the fuel issue...Check the inertia switch...passenger side kick panel....Pull it out...and its a big red button.....

Side winder ur thinking to new 87 to 91 only had two relays in a small box that's not marked. The 92 and newer had the ford marked box mounted separate from air box about 8 or so inches long with relays and several fuses inside it.

Be sure to apply a heat sink paste to the back of it.
