SGII Issue

Using my SGII I have it show fWT, EOT, FSS, and BSTm The problem I keep having is at times the XGuages aren't working, I check the settings and everything is correct but they don't show anything. Could there be a problem with my SGII. Most times everything is fine, but once in awhile they don't show anything.

Are you turning it on before you start the truck?

No tunning, all stock, at times I just clean the connector and it works fine

I've always had the same issues. At times I have to turn the truck off, let the SGII go to sleep, restart the truck and let the SG come back on by itself. It also happens if I unplug the SGII while the truck is running. I can't tell you what it is but mine does the same thing.

Mine does the same thing 2 or 3 times a week. Kinda of annoying, but it always comes back alive when I turn the truck off for a bit and then back on.

on a pretty regular basis I will notice the sg is not displaying....
since I have it mounted right in front of the gear display on the dash, I just loosen the plug and reinsert and it always boots up then... (DO THIS WHEN AT RED LITE !)

Check the go to sleep settings in the menu scince I changed mine to RPMS the only problem Iv had is it not automatically turning on when I start the truck... for some reason I think Iv noticed it messes up when I plug or unplug stuff into the cig lighter adapter (not the upper one the lower one) its ran off the same fuse as the OBDII reader...

just a thought is your cell phone pluged in and charging?

jesse - u may be on to something there !
never associated it with the plug cycles of the gps and various chargers and tablets, etc....

isn't really a bother to get it going again so haven't looked into it at all

I keep the GPS pluged up, a few hours after the problem, I let the truck sit and the SGII go to sleep, then do a KOEO, the SGII didn't automatically turn on, so I powered it on and the xguages worked, and since then it has been working fine.
