Vin is stamped on the top of the frame.... left side under the cab and about where the statrer is located. Your Warranty plate should match the vin which should match the title.
post the numbers and someone here can decode it for you.
the VIN is stamped on the topside of the passenger side frame rail approx. 12" in front of the engine crossmember. Its also under the cab as noted prior.
On Canadian built trucks its in same locations, but on driver side frame rail.
The characters are approx 1/4" tall and the VIN is bookended with asterisks...
Canadian VIN's (Ford/Mercury trucks assembled and sold new in Canada thru 1965) are unique to Canada only. 1965 example: 4991014L-123456A
The 1965 and prior years Canadian Warranty (Rating) Plate and the codes stamped thereon are also different than US trucks.
This plate will be found on the left (drivers) side A piller (windshield post), visible when the door is opened.
1966/68 Canadian VIN's, Warranty Plate/codes are the same as US trucks.
This Warranty Plate is located on the left door face, below the latch (ditto 1963/65 US & 1969/80 US trucks).
FoMoCo vehicles: Since 1948 (trucks), 1949 (passenger cars) the entire vehicle is registered by the VIN, so it will be found on the registration/title.
Prior years, vehicles were registered by their engine numbers. The problem was, if the engine was changed, the numbers no longer matched.
FTE has been having server problems today. I decoded the puppy three times...hours ago, but...none of the posts showed up. Gave up, sent the OP a PM with the info.

The VIN is on the first line, the codes are on the 2nd and 3rd lines.
