Engine oil
i would like to here some prefrences on motor oil i realize this has probably been asked alot my 110k mile vehicle has always had castrol and the reason i'm asking i just tore down my dad's 65 Mustang 289 and get this with 314k miles on it and as long as he can remember he's always used Valvoline and this motor was clean i wounder if i made the right decision on motor oil

I had a Ford Motorsport crate engine put in my Bronco several years ago by a shop that builds Ford racing engines. In fact, that year their car took third place in class at Daytona, so I think they knew what they were talking about. He told me he uses Valvoline in his engines. Good enough for me.

Im taking an auto class right now and according to the instructor "as long as you go with a brand name oil your ok." but he also said that the top 5 oils are as follows.
5 Pensoil
4 castrol
3 valvoline
2 Sunoco
1 Havoline
Just what he told us i dont know the guy knows his stuff so theres my 2 cents
