Generally speaking the upper links are always shorter than the lower links.

EDIT:
Try this calculator out. If you havent been doing so before now...STOP, and use the calculator to get your measurements correct.

From what I remember uppers should be about 75% of lowers if you go much shorter than that you'll have all kinds of issues with pinion delfection and if you don't use the calculator and get the numbers right you'll have issues with rear steer, notto mention stability issues. You don't just throw on a 4 li.nk withbout knowing what you're doing. Listen to kris, stop and do a lot of research before you move on to the nexgt step.

The length/placement/angles of your links all depend on how much anti-squat and body roll, etc. you're comfortable with. There's a metric shyte ton of different stuff that goes into it, like placement of your instant center, sprung weight, unsprung weight, wheelbase, finding your center of gravity, etc, etc. But, like Paul said, Kris is right. Grab a brew, sit down, and do some reading.

There was a long thread that I read on Pirate that I learned alot from. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: Here it is. Enjoy.

Kissing ace ain't my style, mang. You just so happened to be right about something a couple of times and I agreed with you. However, looking back on these posts, it is rather strange how it worked out.

Ive already read all these articles an believe me If I didn't know anything about this I would learn it first. But I'm not going to be jumping this thing or rock crawling. The fourlink is so I can put air bags under it instead of leaf springs. The suspension won't be articulating all that much.

Having your calculations correct is just as important for rock crawling as it is for driving down the street at 55mph.

The angles, degree of separation and lengths (to include link diameter and wall thickness) is a precise science. The fact that you didnt know it was "gonna problem if my upper links are way shorter than my lower links" tells me you DO NOT fully understand and do need to learn more about it first.

If you dont get these measurements right you will have trouble with all aspects of your suspensions function but carry on I guess. Good luck with your project.

You asked a question and got your answer. It is not my fault that the answer given was not the one you were looking for.

I dont care if you listen to me but it will be to your benefit if you do. Im just trying to help.
