I dont care if you listen to me but it will be to your benefit if you do. Im just trying to help.
It's not that the answer given wasn't what I was looking for, and I'm sure you know what your talking about, it's just the know it all way you did it. I was just asking a question, I didn't really need the "Your in over your head, leave it to the professionals" speech. And really I was looking for someone who might have made their links too short and what actually happened.

the reason you got that answer though was the way you question was phrased. you made it sound like you did not know what you were doing.

And really I was looking for someone who might have made their links too short and what actually happened.

and Kris answered your question with what would happen if the top links were too short.

I never said you were over your head. I said you need to take your time and plug your numbers into the calculator to get all the numbers correct. You don't just put whatever length links you want at no particular angle or separation and expect it to function worth a damn.

Its not a difficult process so I don't think its over your head but it is something that has a science to it. Do it right the first time and you'll thank yourself later.

wtf is all this hippie horseshyte???? i go away for a bit and everyone starts getting all touchy feely? bunch of sally's :flipoff2:

op, let me ask a logical question: why the swap to a linked rear for a lifted street truck?

if you say because it rides like crap, are you running blocks, block and an add a leaf, or full leafs for rear lift?

full leafs in the rear. I would think air bags would soften the ride a good bit, keep in mind I live in pa. and we have the worst roads in the us and my body seems were starting to split. I can't run air bags without a 4 link (at least not the ones I plan to use). And as for the touchy feely shyte, the last time I tried to speak more plainly to someone the medaiter shut the thread down, and I looked like a d?ck.

simple answer to save you a shyte ton of time, money, and work: get a piece of plate steel that weighs roughly 300 pounds and have it cut to fit between your wheelwells on the bed floor. it will make your truck ride like a cadillac compared to how it rides now. trucks are meant to haul and carry weight, when the bed is empty it kills all ride quality. my buddy did this to his 94 f350 and that thing rode a serious 10 times better and smoother compared to my 94 f350.

You know, this might sound pretty strange, but I actually know people that this happened to.

I went to high school with a guy named D.L. and a guy named Anthony. And D.L. and Anthony were best friends all through school. About a year ago, Anthony married D.L.'s mom, and D.L.'s been wanting to kill him ever since.
