03 Explorer amarm disable

Wife and I bought a 2003 Explorer. Everything is running great, but the alarm is so ungodly annoying. When you turn the vehicle off, within 15 sec the alarm will set and doors wil lock. Even with the key in the ignition. Has anyone ever taken one of these out? The box is up under driver side of dash, and says "ford security system" on it, so I assume it fact add on. I tired yanking the fuse, but then it will not start, kinda figured though.

The functions can be programed, get a manual and read up.... Philip

Found the manual, I guess its set up to auto arm, I have to put into valet mode for it not to auto arm.

Many times there will also be a passive arming mode which will arm with the key fob. Maybe the dealer installed Ford alarms don't come with new or interface with the original fobs?
