I have a 96 E 150 Imperial conversion van with Pro Air rear air unit, the fan works at all speeds and I can hear it running from the front seat, but I don't seem to be getting air out of ceiling vents, can barely feel air coming out, if I hold a piece of paper against the coil in the rear, it does suck the paper to it, but....... nothing out of the vents ??
Am baffled, any help appreicated
Love this forum, it has helped me numerous times.
Along with this forum try the Cooling, Heating, Ventilation & A/C forums too---under the Misc category from the drop down forum jump box at the bottom here.
It's possible the duct tube from the blower outlet has slipped off the overhead supply ducts------that's the first thing that comes to mind especailly if you see some sort of intake action. If you can remove the trim panel covering the blower unit you might see something that stands out.
Your job demo'ing should be a bit easier with the conversion van as opposed to the standard Ford Club Wagon or Chateau interior with the factory rear heater & A/C overhead vents etc since access should be via a single panel covering the core and blower.
Shouldn't be too tough to find and fix. I used a mylar tape around extra ducting I ran overhead in my cargo van---two years later its still stuck quite well, not showing any signs of deteriorating at all.
