Just bought this van and wondered how the rear air works. This is probably a stupid question but I haven't ordered the Ford service manual "Bible" yet. Thanks.
Its tied in to the main unit, refrigerant wise and coolant wise and has its own plenum, evaporator, heater core with independent controls, blower motor, and doors.

Could I use the rear air unit out of a e-150 van as a behind the dash unit in a pickup truck?? I had read somewhere that that was what FORD SVT used when they built the baby lightning.
any info would be helpful
Thanks
Jim
I havent a clue on that one Jim. I suppose with enough modification you can make anything work. But if you have the components for a front system already its best to just fix what already fits.

Thanks. As of right now I don't have any air at all,and I thought that I could salvage one of these units from a salvage yard. That would save me some money over purchasing an AFTERMARKET UNIT. I guess what I really need to do is find one and do some measuring!(LOL) maybe I'll get lucky!??
I really do appreciate the help
Thanks again
Jim
