NP 435 types

I was interested in getting a PTO for my NP435 and the application guy said there were 3 different types. An FE, FA, and FL and the PTO's varied between them. What are the differences and how can you tell them apart?

I don't understand, a PTO runs off of your transfercase, not your transmission

It doesn't always run off your t-case. We have two 2wd trucks with PTO's.(Grain trucks) As for the FE, FA, and FL I'll have to know what year this is and it might be in one of my manuals.

It's a 1968, although the motor was replaced, not by me, so I can't really be sure about the trans. I have what I think is an unmolested 66 NP435 that I could use also.
