I am wanting to get things cleaned up on my old truck before putting her to any speeds or many miles. The truck had not ran for years before I got her, which has caused alot of gummy-ness and its got some moisture in things as well. I have already done the engine (using multiple seafoam runs and drains), fuel system (new tank partial line replacement and new filler necks), also have done the brake system (new lines, wheel cylinder, calipers, and master cylinder). What I am looking to do is drain some more fluids, I figure the transmission (4spd man) transfer case (Dana 21) and the front and rear axles (not exactly sure which they are).
Just not sure what is the best way to clean out these while keeping everything in the truck. Before on other projects I removed and soaked them and then scrubbed and replaced. I am wanting to keep everything together for now while I work out the bugs.
Any advice on how, what or methods would be appreciated and also what you guys are putting back in for gear oil?
