It does not matter when or where, this P/U will not start sometimes. Whether the engine is hot or cold, recently run or been sitting, it does not matter. There are NO CODES in the OBD diagnostics. When it does it their is ZIP fuel pressure and the fuel pump does not run. I have replaced both the fuel pump relay and the PCM relay and even switched them out with the old ones. It never stops, spits or sputters when going down the road or when the engine is running. Just when starting does this occur. I have done nothing but let it sit for a few hours and gone back and it starts like nothing was ever wrong. I am getting ready to replace the fuel pump...maybe a dead spot on the armature?? Who knows. This intermittant problem has me baffled.....
If the pump does not run, the motor won't start.
Access the leads to the pump for voltage monitor and try the ignition to the run position a number of times to be sure your not missing it.
If the voltage is there and the pump doesnot run, you know what you have to do.
You have to test, and not jump to this and that, hopeing to get lucky.
Good luck.
