I bought my truck with the 99-01 lights on it. I believe that due to the previous vehicle use as an emergency vehicle of some sort, the OEM lights probably had strobes drilled into them, so when the vehicle was sold, it was easier to throw on a new set of lights and the 99-01s were either more readily available or they were cheaper. Either way, whereas I like the look of the all-amber signal lights, they were not MY specific, so I had to change them.
Same thing goes for the bed decals. I bought the truck with incorrect MY 'FX4' decals, so I changed them to the correct 4x4 decals.
Are you sure it wasnt 03 cause my 04 has it and Im pretty sure my 03 f250 and f350 at work have them also.Think its a little strang that all 3 have replacent windshields IMHO
2005 was the first year for the 'SUPER DUTY' windshield logo. Since the cabs are all the same, that windshield will fit on any year Super Duty, and it is a popular mod as that OEM windshield is the same price as the non-logo OEM windshield. One just has to specify they want a 2005 windshield when getting a replacement.
I stand corrected. After some research, it turns out that the 'SUPER DUTY' windshield started with MY 2003. My windshield is cracked and has been since I bought the truck, but it isn't in my field of vision, so it passes inspection. I will just wait until it cracks worse before I get a new one. It has lasted through one of North Texas' coldest winters (last year) and the hottest summer on record this year (with the most 100+ degree days) without any spreading of the current cracks or chips. I don't know if I'll get the newer windshield or not. Whatever windshield I choose I bought a replacement KTP decal a while back and will put it on there when I get the new glass.
Yep. My 04' has the "Super Duty" printed in the top center of the winshield from factory. I'm the first owner and bought it like that with a whopping 81 miles on it. The crystal clear headlight lenses are much nicer and brighter than the opaque looking headlights on the earlier model years IMO. Polishing headlight lenses every 6 months is not my idea of fun.

Hi jc8825
I am not trying to hijack your tread, but said that, then I got a upgrade in my 2000 SD windshield logo. Buy this truck about 5 years ago and always thought this came like factory. Thanks
