Motor swap in CA
my pops got a 91 f150 with a 4.9, and he was wanting to drop in a 5.0 v8. but i know CA has a bunch of stupid laws about messing with your motor. So what would we have to do to make it legal.

I don't know for certain but from the discussions I have seen it would have to look EXACTLY the same as a factory install for a Cali vehicle of that year.. which isn't hard using all the parts from a donor truck, but even then they may balk at it if they look at the VIN and see that it was originally a 4.9 truck.

Alright thanks,, Yeah i havent been on this thred in a long time, I had that blue 95 f150 with the custom intake with the AMS oil sticker on it.. But i traded that truck for this ranger, but at that time it was BONE stock. So i gave it a Dutter touch up
