About a month ago I ordered by Build Sheet from Ford. I got it today. I have a couple of questions for NumberDummy though.
1). It says I have tinted glass- My truck does not seem to have this on it. Any way to get glass like this anymore?
2). The Tape stripe colours, would they be listed on the paint chip sheet? Or is there any way of getting a paint mix based off of these colours?
3). The District Sales office of Charlotte, did that only serve South Carolina or did it service other states surronding South Carolina?
Any ways here it is for ya'lls viewing pleaseure.

Yes, NPD offers tinted glass. A local glass jobber might be able to order it.

Won't be on a paint sheet unless it was... painted. It might show up in an accessories brochure for your year. A good color service should be able to work with you to dial in the color if ya want to shoot it.

DSOs sometimes covered more than one state. My 70's DSO is Salt Lake City but sold in Idaho.
The glass you have is tinted, it is just very, very slight tinting, the light greenish color you see if you were to look through both your windows from outside the truck. It is not the "smoked" tinting by today's standards. Rest assured, nobody went through the work of replacing every window in your truck with clear ones.
When you guys say window tint, I assume you're talking about the "Sun-X" stuff? That's what my windows say in the corner. I agree, it looks nothing like what I would call "window tint," it's that light greenish color.

X2...
Also, the build sheet I got from Ford back in 2000 or so had several items of misinformation... so take these things with a grain of salt.

At least one of my windows has been replaced previously because my new passenger door was originally blue, so I would like to try to find a way of getting the tint back on. That was why I had asked.

I don't think there is a way to "get it back on". You have to buy a tinted window. Windshields are laminated. I don't know if the other glass is. If so the tint is most likely in the center piece of the lamination. If not laminated then my guess would be colored glass.
It's not that hard to find tinted windows once you know what to look for. I would make sure whoever replaced the door didn't swap the windows as well or perhaps the replacement door had a tinted window. Can you see why your windows are tinted? If not I would start by learning how to tell the difference.
Agreed, mine was wrong too, they seem to be pretty generalized and generic, nothing you couldn't decipher by just looking at your truck on your own, i hear the "Marti" reports are more accurate, though i have no personal experience with them.

I think you had far more options back then. Nowadays this is how you get it like it or not. Dodge put individual build sheets in the seat springs. I am just guessing here but would think coding everything into the VIN or door tag would have been quite difficult. A quick exampleI can think of is dash pads in a slick 60's. Optional, you have codes for interior color or package but what if the pad wasn't available in the pkg you chose? You would get both but there would be no specific code for that condition. Something I have noticed is nothing states tilt wheel. This would to me indicate the probability of "build sheet" not being specific to the vehicle.
