So i have a 2006 Ford f250 6.0PSD, fortunate and unfortunate right?
SO like the rest of us my alternator went out and on the forums here i was told numerous times oh DC Power engineering this and that and they have the best alternators. Well they have to make it to your door let alone make it to fedex to be shipped from their factory. I made the order Sept.22 and they billed it Sept.27. Confirming email with reciept and "we will send you an email link for tracking WHEN SHIPPED" Well that hasnt come. TO BOOT they wont pick up or return my phone calls. Panzys. So then i check the BBB to see if this is uncommon and NOOOOOO hell no they have 4 complaints all along the same lines...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE or lack there of. So what do i do you ask, $375 and no alternator. Oh i am letting BBB know how this place is.
BLOWIN UP YOUR SPOT DC! I am very patient as i understand things happen but to dodge me is the worst thing you can do.
As for Ford Trucks reccommending this comopany i am very confused about and if anyone on these forums knows these people personally let them know whats going to happen and speak up if DC is on these forums.
This is officially public.
PS: Can someone let me know of a reputable company for a good alternator as mine is still reaking havoc on my FICM and batteries.
Thanks
Jeff-

Reason: Update thread
Calm down, and deal w/ it rationally rather than call names and rant against DC Power, the 6.0L, and against everyone that has had good luck w/ them - wow.
Lots of us have had great experiences (many forums also), you seem to be the exception (that I have seen anyway). You have to ask yourself - Is it them that is the issue or maybe it is also something else (just saying).
I have seen NO ONE that has not received their product from them. You say you are patient, but your first post on this issue suggests otherwise.
Please post a link to the BBB complaints - that would be helpful for others.
I installed a Power inverter and two extra batteries. DC Power spent LOTS of time on the phone with me. I had no issues at all.
I love my truck dont get me wrong, just not the most reliable of them all. Not hear to bash ford or fte or motorcraft or int, etc. Thanks
And yeah i would say waiting 21 days for something that on average takes 3-5 is patient.
If you have purchased anything from them you would know that an email is sent with reciept and purchase confirm also stating that "when shipped" they would send another email with the tracking number. So when i dont recieve that email i am assuming that they never gave the package to Fedex to be shipped. The fact that when i call every extension they offer i cant reach ANYONE including leaving a message and not hearing back.
I understand members have had good luck and I wonder did they change names recently or what because i expected the greatest of service and Im just bummed at this point.
Per the advice of Bismic I bought one about 8 months ago, a 185 amp unit, and I must have called them 5 times before dropping the hammer on it with questions. They were over the top nice and spent a ton of time talking to me about which fuse (250 amp) I should run and why. I got the unit a few days after ordering it, install was easy and I'm a happy camper.
I don't want to say you're over reacting but I bet there is a probably logical and reasonable explanation for this.
Looking over the BBB complaints, several were in specialty applications - not something that is as standard as an alternator for our trucks.
I didn't see a complaint from you at the BBB site. Hopefully DC Power comes through and maybe even addresses your concerns publicly.
I don't think that 4 complaints in 3 years is bad at all, but 3 of the 4 posted were all within the last 12 months - hopefully that isn't a trend developing. I am glad to see that there are no "product complaints".
Im not going to file a complaint unless they are completely unresponsive. Someone on the forums might be associated with them and I called first on Tuesday so I am giving them time to resolve. And didnt care to contact bank/cc because i want this taken care of respectively.
A companies best service is not defined by the first time sale, but the way a problem is resolved. I am giving them that chance.
Hi Jeff,
This is Stan from DC Power Engineering, please contact me either by phone; 951.509.5617 x 202 or email stan@dcpowerinc.com.
I don't know how your order got lost or forgotten or what? But I would like to see what I can do to remedy this situation and get your alternator sent out to you, if you are still interested in doing business with us? These are very popular alternators and although we do run our selves out of inventory periodically, we usually have them in stock at all times?
Thank you,
Stan.
OP- Please update us when and how this was resolved. I need to purchase a new Alt. and DC power is where I planned on buying it. Just want to know how this gets resolved b4. I agree shhtt happens it's how a company deals with it when it does that counts.
