The only seal you can really replace besides the install kit is the d-ring where the high pressure oil rail goes in. There isn't really anything you can do to rebuild one of these injectors and there aren't any parts available.

Listening to most people talk about stiction, it's often blamed on the pintles/plungers gumming up more so than wear. What's your opinion on partial disassembly for cleaning? I am accustom to working on small stuff like that and have access to a sonic vat with proper solvent. RevX is working for me right now but I've kicked around the idea of trying to clean 'em up myself later if wear isn't too bad. If it doesn't work it would still make a core. (assuming I can put it back together)
I guess the questions are- How bad is wear usually? and is there a fair chance of getting one put back together after cleaning?

Alliant Power sells complete injector seal kits. The Injectors are not that complicated. I have pulled some apart including the spool valves. I plan on some mods to some "core" injectors and when I do it will post my results.

Cool. This isn't something we can do in the driveway with a can of carb cleaner but it doesn't look too bad. Availability of the soft parts (great that you found some kits!) and finding cracks or excessive wear could be a show stopper.

I was just wanting some info on these I plan to change the seals but want to know more about them. I don't want to ruin one over a simple task
