It has been a while since I was lifting a bunch of trucks regularly, but when I was doing Super Duties pretty hard between '02 and '07 I began using Donahoe Racing/Edge (now Icon), and was fortunate enough to get hooked up with Gary and Jeff at Deaver.
Over the years I have lifted about 25 Super Duties, and a number of Jeeps and Chevrolet's, using Deaver springs. The quality of Deaver's has always impressed me, never an issue, and even the heavy trucks never sag, even after years of abuse.
Anyway, I had not interacted (crazy how careers and family can interfere with being a gearhead!) with the guys at Deaver in a couple of years, but I needed some leaf work and some bushings pressed, so I took the trip to Santa Ana. Jeff and the crew knocked out the worked personally, and I had some time to converse with Gary, and Scott in the office. I can't express how good it feels to walk in to a business and be treated like you are the most important person in the world. These guys care about customers, and it shows.
Being in the same location since 1892 doesn't hurt either, but customer service is what keeps people coming back. If you need spring work in So Cal, or need something made up and shipped, check out Deaver, you won't be disappointed.
I used to use them back in the 80's! Glad to hear the customer service hasn't changed! They were a class act then as well!

I really believe in the Mom & Pop shops, those types of businesses made America what it is, and I try to support them whenever possible.
Super Duty Headquarters in your neck of the woods still sells a lot of their springs, as well as Kartek Off Road out here, although the '99-'04 leaf sprung trucks have slowed down some I am sure.
Good info. On another note, is this a misprint? If not, they must have made some bad to the bone Conestoga Carriage springs.
Hey John, 1892, NOT a misprint! They actually were a blacksmith shop that manufactured and repaired leaf springs on all kinds of horse drawn wagons and buggies!
I am sure the neighborhood has changed a little in 119 years, no more orange groves, even though it is right in the middle of Orange County.
