Fuel pressure specs and regulator replacing

I'm working on a 2003 Ford E250 with a 5.4. It's running bad and has a misfire, and I think it may be the Fuel Regulator. So., I was gonna go rent the fuel tester gauge and test it but I need to know what it's supposed to be at. AND, any tips on how to change the regulator? It looks odd. I was gonna change the spark plugs but gave up. I'm used to old engines haha.

28-45psi KOER, 35-45psi KOEO. Regulator looks easy to change, it's just clipped in. If it's bad, it might be dumping gas in through the vacuum hose. Plugs, coil boots and intake gaskets leaking coolant into spark plug wells are common on these engines for misfire. An 8mm socket and a variety of 1/4" extensions helps on this job for the coil bolts. Taking the fuel rail bolts out to move it a bit helps too sometimes.

Hoss is your truck showing any codes by chance? The misfire should trigger the MIL.

Plug changing is a big topic here both in the V8 & V10 Modular motor forums. I have a list of those I've found most helpful--if you like I can post it here for you.

Yes I'd love for you to post those! It did have codes but he didn't write the codes down. All he told me was "It has a few cylinders misfiring" and he'll be taking it to have codes pulled again. I told him to drive it more because only a misfire code seemed strange. It may not have been warmed up. I'm still waiting on it to be done but he's busy
