Oh yeah, I was going to do this on my lunch break today...
That guy has way too much time on his hands.
And it's confusing.
This is what is unclear even when buying at v-LEDs:
- CK Type Socket or standard
- Can an electronic flasher prevent hyper blinking of errors.
- If rear only can hyper blinking still happen.
- Will they be bright enough?
Switchback white/red for the reverse lights would be an idea.
I like the switchback DRL idea at the front but would prefer amber/amber.
I took the decision not to buy led bulbs as I am not up in putting resistors in or dealing with non-bright led's for the price they're sold.
The complete led tail ligths they sell in various places look nice but have no sidemarkers at all. That is a no go. I want sidemarkers or at least enough light thrown around the corner as with the OEM taillights.
Would the Lincoln Navigator exterior taillights fit??
Would the Lincoln Navigator exterior taillights fit??
Physically they should bolt up, but.....I don't think they will look right.
The Navigators taillights are designed to be tied into the extension pieces on the tailgate and have a chrome surround that may look out of place ending abruptly with nothing on the tailgate. Also, the Navs taillights have top and bottom brake light bulbs, whereas the Expy only has one brake light bulb, so you would have to do additional wiring.

Thanks, Matt. I will think about the looks. Wiring shouldn't be too hard I guess.
I take it back, it's a no-go. They won't fit. They are about 1" shorter than the Expy ones. If you look at the rear of a Navigator you will see where the side of the rear bumper fascia comes up to the taillight about an inch, whereas on the Expy it is straight across. Sorry for the misinformation.
