Karl, why would the pistons have to be custom? Awful lot of A-head pistons up for sale in various bore sizes and 12-13.5:1 comp on 429-460 alone. I'm pretty sure I saw that Dave has some.

Dave has a set of .060 for a 4.3 stroke. I'm going different and the custom piston is to get the right compression ratio I'm looking for. Most off the shelf with the 85cc heads will get me 12.5ish as you mentioned. Since I'm going well into the larger ci range, then I'm gonna squeeze it more and get all I can get! I know where I wanna go, just not going to spill all the details anymore since I found I have local "lurkers" on here and the other sites I frequent that took some of the things I've done to make their trucks faster or had some rule changes to make me bump up in classes.
Don't know of any for sale used for your heads, but will keep an eye out.
