I am still fairly new to this, but I have a question about my 2000 F-250.
We had a heavy rain last night and into the morning, as I was driving into work I noticed my truck started to sputter as I tried to accelerate. Now the rain has stopped and my truck has been sittin there for several hours, when I start it up it idles rough, when I give it gas it struggles to raise the rpms and when I let off the gas the rpms dip below 1000 almost like it wants to die and then comes back up to normal idle. I am stumped, I recently changed plugs, fuel filter and air filter. Anyone have any advice for me or maybe has been through this before? Thank you anyone for your help.
Try taking the coils off the plugs. Dry them out. and then use some kind of dielectric grease or silicone on the plugs. I had an issue like that a few years back and when I talked to a few people about it, this was recommended to me.
Thank you very much for your help. It ended up being my #4 plug. I guess some water had gotten in there and caused the plug to fail. Thank you very much for your help.
