Hello,
I have a 96 E-150 with a 300-6 EFI. It is leaking fuel like crazy from the passenger side just under the front Y of the exhaust manifold. It appears to be coming from a cylinder shaped object that is about 2 inches high, and two inches in diameter. I am unfamiliar with fuel injection as this is the first vehicle that I have had with it. It looks very tough to get to this part.
Does anyone know what this part is called? Also, am I going to have to take the exhaust manifold off to replace it? The fuel lines around it are not leaking, but this part shoots out fuel like a small faucet.
The truck has 200k plus on it, so it is a job I have to do myself. I can't afford to take it in to a shop. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
