a friend has a 67 F100 that we have recently did a cab swap on. The cab came off a 68 F250.... now here is the problem, we put a new master on it but even with the one that was on the truck the brake pedal was maybe 2-3 inches off the floor board. only thing I wonder is the pushrod longer on the f250 versus the f100 ? if so anyone know the length of the pushrod ? thanks
I can't say for sure but I do know there are a ton of brake pedal arm/booster/MC combinations from 67-79. One of the main differences is distance between the fulcrum point (or pivot point) and where the pushrod is connected.
It sounds to me like your pedal arm either has shorter distance or the pushrod is too short. With proper welding, a pushrod can be fabricated, modified to fit, or ya simply swapping in the pedal arm from the old cab.
Get up there, measure it with a dowel (or similar), and then fabricate or find one of the proper length. IIRC, 65-73 Mustang vendors offer an adjustable version.
