trailer hitch dimensions

I'm trying to find a hitch (hidden) for my '53 f-100... it will mount behind a roll pan and access thru the drop down tag holder...

of course no one lists a '53 in their "tell me your model" listings. Somewhere in the past I've seen a table that lists hitches by the dimensions i.e. 34" os/os on the frame, 4" frame rail height..etc...

anyone remember this or know where to find it... or tell me of a manufactured hitch that will fit a '53

thanks in advance

None were ever made.... back then they were all fabricated and welded to the vehicle's frame.

I would contact a hitch manufacturer directly first and tell them what you need. Some hitches have quit a bit of latitude in mounting and may not be listed for you truck simply because of its age. Who knows, you might get lucky and sometimes something new might work with some tweaking.

hi Steve

tried that with a couple and they all run... tell me to contact a fabricator for a custom hitch... I can fab it up... but got to get my welding guru to do the welding... I don't do structural/life threatening welding... guess that's my best shot... just make the dang thing myself...

one more thing on the list

Liability issues are taking over the world! Everyone is so afraid of lawsuits, it defies common sense.
