so does the oil cooler need to be replaced if your deleting the egr cooler?

yeah he has worked at ford for a long time and has done a ton of egrs and head gaskets

Definitely, it more than likely caused your EGR failure. Rarely do they fail on their own.

YES you will still need an oil cooler

and if you go with a egr deleate it may throw a cel and you may need a tuner
