Running Temp Question... Help Please!

So, i didnt have a t-stat when i broke in my motor, and now at about 450 miles i put a t-stat in cause well, hell it gets cold here in flagstaff, az!

Motor is bored .20 over, edelbrock 500cfm 4bbl, offy dual plane intake. Just put a 195 5stat in today. Thoughts on the temp? Radiator is stock.

The OE gauge blows. You have to put in a manual /electric one to know anything. You can buy a pretty good a pretty good brand from O'reilley's for about $30. The brand is Equus, or something like that. The cheapo Sun Pro suck worse than the OE gauge.

That's about where mine runs all the time, around the R and M on the gauge.

The "norm" for mine can be anywhere between the 'O' and 'M' with a 195 T-stat. If you want a definitive temp reading, the 'idiot' gauge has to be replaced with a real gauge.
