pulling on front crossmember??????

on my 94 4.0 theres a eye hole in the front crossmember, is this a factory tug point?

it seems like it would be strong enough, but i dont want to rip the front end off...

i got stuck a while back and i didnt think there was anywhere to hook on to the front of the truck, so i had to get pulled out backwards. if this is a tow point i wish id have known about it.

Yes they did, mine included. I addressed this in my other thread, they are not strong enough to be pulled on very hard, they are just bolted on

I've seen those hooks be torn off

They work great for light pulls. I want something that can hold up to a heavy pull or jerk
