Just changed oil and went longer than ever without realizing it. 16,000 miles but it was in like a little over 3.5 months.
Button it all back up including a new fuel filter. Cranked it over and look underneath to a cascade of oil coming down. Obviously turned off and looked. It looked like it was coming from above the filter.
During the oil change it seemed as if I remember thinking it looked like there had been seepage up around that area as well but i looked no further.
Truck has 130,000 miles on it. I normally change the oil at 7,000-8000 miles but that's like every 2-3 months.
I'm a newb on this 7.3. There's been nothing to really do to it.
Its too dark to see anything now but I'd like to know where to start tomm.
I tried search function but did not really know where to start except hpop and i got all kinds of hits on that.
Thinking about it now, I remember thinking something seemed different about the new FL 1995 filter but I don't remember there being an oring on the new filter......hmmm.
