checking in

It's been a few months since I posted here....thought I'd check in and say howdy.

I've been working a bunch of hours lately and driving the 66 as my daily. As with other cars that I've revived from years of storage, this one seems to get better the more I drive it.

I finally relented and pulled the fuel tank all the way out and cleaned it thoroughly. I reinstalled it with a new rubber filler neck hose and filler neck grommet from DC....also replace the short piece of fuel line under the cab.

It's made a HUGE difference and I'm only picking up very small amounts of sediment in my clear inline filter.

I'm driving it from Houston to Ft. Worth for the LaGrave Field Swap Meet this month. Look me up if you attend. I'll be there with the 66 next to my dad and his 53 Chevy pickup. (he's selling it if anyone's interested)

^^ '65/66 Ford Pickups: Make sure they aren't for Flaresides, "Wrong Bed" Stylesides, or possibly '67/72 Step Bumpers, 1961/63 Uni's. Most ebay sellers haven't a single clue what is correct...what is not. ^ ^

I'll probably be at LaGrave Field. Looks like Oct 21-23rd. Haven't been there before so it'll be new to me. What kinda stuff they got? Like Pate?

Love to have a smiley, but no room for another project.

It's a good swap meet....not as big as Pate, but usually lots of good misc stuff there.
