6.0l automatic trans problems

So, I have a 2004 superduty 6.0 4X4 with 103000 miles on it. Very trouble free pick-up until recently. Started feeling like there is some slop in the transmission when I would take off from a dead stop, almost like when a u-joint is going out but there fine. Then just the other day when i took off down the road( the truck was still cold) it would not shift into 4th(i think) and when I would let off the peddle it sounded like a baseball card in bicycle spokes slowing down. then within a min or so it went away. Then today i was in the parking lot of les scwhab to have the alt replaced and when I shifted into reverse there was nothing. Pushed on the peddle and still nothing, the truck was idling but absolutly zero responce. made it home, shut the truck off and then had to jump it it start it again, but after it started it ran fine, shifted into reverse and everything. Anyone out there with the same problem? Or might have so info?
