High Idle

Hey just wondering what RPM you guys are setting your high idle switches for. Gotta make an appointment here soon.

Winter is Coming

Hey just wondering at what temperatures do you guys start plugging your trucks? Also how cold should it be for me to put the "bra" or the cover or whatever it is over the grill? This is my first diesel and I'm still trying to figure some stuff out. Thanks!

Mine is at 1,200 rpm

1,400 RPM here.

Yea thats what I was thinking, Thanks. You have yours wired to your upfitter switch?

Yes sir, #3 (just because it is the lowest amp rated).

1,200 RPM = 20,000 ohms
1,400 RPM = 12,000 ohms

I had my dealer do it becuase they had some other things to do before I picked up the truck (when it was new). But they tried to charge me $260.00 to do it!! Said they had to charge time to go to radio shack and figure out what resistor to use (even though I told them 20,000). Can't remember where we settled but it was way too much to make 3 connections!
