SEIC temps - informational

I think this is the first time I've used the SEIC with the Edge but I can't remember.
This is where temps leveled off after about 10 minutes of 1,400 RPM SEIC. Outside temp was 95F according to the truck.
(Yes I know...those are specs of dust in the photos. I've been too busy.)

What units are the DPFSoot meaurements in? Do you see a change when the truck regens? Do you hit a certain level and then can expect the regen process to take place? Pretty cool gizmo you got there.

I don't have a clue what the GPL is in the soot count.
It may be something simple and I'll feel like a dummy when someone mentions it.

One other person has mentioned a regen will begin soon after 2.66 soot GPL.
I watched this occur today and has happened at 2.66 the last time.
Other variations was one at 2.30 and another 2.73 or something in the low 2.70's.

I have a question about your edge insight. Is that just a monitor or is it a programmer as well? I'm looking for just a monitor to check my temps and stuff not a programmer to fool with the engine and void warranty.

Thx

Dave.

Dave.
It is only a monitoring device from my understanding.
I want my warranty in place but I also haven't asked Ford either.
I responded to your regen topic.
Most of the additional information I talked about I learned by watching this device (such as temps) that aren't reported to the driver by the truck.

I looked this morning, there are only two fuel options so I don't think so.
Fuel level and fuel rate.
Fuel rate just reports how much fuel (GPM) is being used at a given second.
