Does anyone know of a source for a new/replacement rear wheel hub. My normal sources don't list anything, including Dana/Spicer. This is a 2007 E350 XLT with a Dana 60 Full Floater.
Maybe get the Ford replacement part number and do a Google search for it?
Ed The Parts Guy who advertises here might be a good choice too---I've used them before even though they're like 2,000 miles away. If nothing else their drill down website might help locate the part number you need.
Ford's system showed all back-ordered, but they came through this morning with an emergency source for me at a 15% premium. Not bad, because I need it now. If they fail, I'll try Ed.
I've just dealt with the 99, need to just buy the tool as it appears that this job requires new seals every 2 years, BTW the drivers side was done first, a year before the passenger side, which has now been done twice and requiring a third! I wish you better luck than I've had, I really want an entire axle with 3.73 or 4.11 to replace this 3.50 as it's too high.
Do you know the preload/torque procedure for the hub nut? Is it vehicle or rear end specific? Mine's a 2007 E350 with Axle code 34. Not sure which Dana axle it is.
That's great-----always nice to have reference manuals right at home. I couldn't live without mine---I was lucky enough to find an authorized copy on CD-ROM.
