Any year before 1980. 1980 and newer are still the same, but use a fiber tooth timing gear, and those wear out around 150-200k miles.
It doesn't hurt anything if it breaks, but the fibers can clog the oil pump, so getting one of those, before installing the engine in the van, swap the timing gear for an older style metal one.
