On my way out the door to the Bay Area to do some Rover repair jobs and deliver some parts...I really don't want any rain, that would suck as I have an outdoor job to do today and that would make it pretty miserable. Looks like partly cloudy but no rain in the forecast though...
Spent the day splitting wood. Hiring daughter tomorrow so she can make some extra money to stack what I split today. Tomorrow I'll be busy building a wall for my guest bath-room remodel. Busy busy busy.
Hope you had a awesome weekend & a blessed Sunday.
Friday & Saturday night we sat around the campfire, drank beer & made smores! YUMMY!!!!
Today, I'm feeling a lil' under the weather, but I'm hanging in there. Damn kids!...I swear they don't like taking their medicine & then they cough on you. I better not come down with a full blown cold, or someones gonna get their *** kicked...GRR!!!!
Hope everybody is enjoying the last day of the weekend!
I spent part of yesterday tiling a back splash in my kitchen, and the other part with family. Today church, and some clean-up so I'll be ready for grout first thing tomorrow.
Well, It's Monday & I'm feeling a lil' better. Still have a sore throat, but the chills & body ache went away...YEAH!!!!
Time to get off my butt & get motivated i guess.
Have a good day everyone.
A beautiful day! Excellent weather, I am not sick, and there are plenty of chores around the house to keep me busy. What more can you ask for on a Monday? Hope everyone has a great week.
Got home from the Bay Area last night, my biggest repair job on Sat. went OK, though it took me a lot longer than I would have liked. Good thing (for him!) I quoted him flat rate rather than hourly!
Sunday went...not so well. First thing I had to do was meet with a guy in So. S.F. to deliver some parts, including a big, bulky, heavy brush guard for the front of his truck. Note to craigslist buyers: The time to check your bank account to see if you have sufficient funds to buy something is before you tell the person you'll take it, not after he's loaded it up and brought it 140 miles to deliver to you. *****. And then one of the repair jobs I had lined up for Sunday had to cancel (or postpone, anyway) due to a last-minute change of plans.
Other repair job went well enough, only took me about 15 minutes longer than expected.
Then, I had to meet with a guy in Concord, that went pretty well but took me way longer than planned and I missed the car show I was hoping to drop by. But, I sold some parts unexpectedly to another guy in Martinez, fortunate that I just happened to have the needed parts with me from the first job and didn't use them.
And all this Sunday after spending the night sleeping in the Taurus on some dark backstreet in So. S.F. since I couldn't find a motel vacancy (that I could afford...$179 for a room? I don't want to buy the thing, just sleep in it!)
So now my back has gone out, first time that's happened in years. Don't know if it's from rolling around on the ground bench-pressing heavy parts up into place all day, bending over lifting heavy tool boxes and parts in and out of the trunk, moving that damn brush guard in and out of the Taurus interior so many times, or sleeping in the Taurus...or all of the above! And I have a head gasket job to do today and tomorrow!
Wow, Dan you work harder on the weekends, then you do your day job! Even God rested on the 7th day. That Craigslister should have at least given you some $$$ for your trip out there.
