Scan Gauge II settings??

Installed my new 4" MBRP turbo back on my 2005 6.0 and also bought new Scan Gauge II and was wondering what gauges to mainly monitor. I was thinking about the engine oil temp, coolant temp, tranny temp, and boost. Any suggestions?? I would rather not keep changing all the time and look at the best and most important ones monitor. There are so many I am not sure what is best. I have no other sensors like fuel pressure or EGT. Thank you for any sugesstions.

boost you get from the PCM isn't a true value. it's a calculated value. I'd get a real gauge for that

I suggest you do ECT, EOT, FICM Volts, Batt Volts as main gauges. keep Trans Temp as a quick hotswap for when towing

How much over 12V should I consider normal? At what point is it time to worry. I was getting 12.4 with the engine running. I was thinking it should be higher with the Alt. feeding the batteries.

Here are the Xgauges I now have entered in my Scangauge II. The ScII reads x gauges from #24 to #0 So I entered them alphabetically by name for easy access. I normally run:

FMP, ECT,EOT, VOLTS. While towing I will switch to add Fan speed and TFT.

Accelerator Pedal Position (%)
TXD: 07E02209D4
RXF: 0462050906D4
RXD: 3008
MTH: 000100020000

RXF: 046285140640
RXD: 3010

With a little tweaking you can adjust this to read boost as you said.

To do this, just plug in the MAP code - get a reading from it with the key in the on position but the engine off, then based on the reading changed the last 4 digits of the MTH to whatever corresponds to your reading on this table

14.0 -- FF74 (I USE THE "FF71" FOR MY AREA, IT WORKS GREAT)

Thank you for all your great information especially the Boost table and how to properly set it up. I will go out and do it now to have it working correctly. I understand the EOT and ECT should not exceed 12 degrees apart correct? What temp is normal for the EOT?

Its 15* apart for ECT vs EOT to be in Ford Spec

these 2 gauges should also be 1-2* apart after a cold soak at startup

Also may want to watch FICM and volts at startup
